History

Tel-Mar originally began in 1983, with William (Bill) Martel as sole owner . Bill named the business after a play on his last name, switching the syllables.  Current owner Rick Schmidt was hired by Bill in 1989. Over the next 10 years, Rick would help to grow the business greatly with his professionalism and keen eye for detail. With the retirement of Bill in 1999, Rick assumed ownership of the business with his wife, Mary, and the business has continued to grow ever since. Presently, Mary and Rick have a combined 30 years of experience.
